Today, I added on a lot more things to my drawing. I finally finished drawing the stairs and then I worked on the overhead lights, left wing of theater, right wing of theater, and pictures on the wall. I did attempt to draw the windows on the side of the theater (the ones next to the stair), but it didn't come out as I had planned. Actually, they don't even look like windows at all! Tomorrow, I will erase them and will just leave it blank because I don't think the windows are a necessary item anyway. I mean, it would probably be better for the observer's eye to be drawn towards the middle of the drawing instead of the side. I also worked on the dimensions of the drawing and erased a lot of the ceiling to try and make it look right. But now looking back at my drawing, I can still see that I have not yet finished it because it is more disproportionate than I had thought. I will work on that more tomorrow and will also start the shading. Lastly, I will draw the carpet on the ground. I will probably just do some simple lines and then shade it in with dark pencil lead. This way, my flooring won't look too busy with the rest of my picture, and by not drawing all the details will save me lots of time. But, I really like how my theater is coming out. I'm working really hard to make it the best it can be in the time I have. In a few more days, we will be done with this project (which is 100 points) and then we will start drawing on another school building - the Upper School building.
